No, I don’t watch the media or use TikTok or Instagram. LinkedIn for work and Facebook for family and friends are about all I have time for. Yes, I do post here so that people who want to hear from me, can, well, hear from me.

I woke up this morning (Jan 21) to snow on the ground. I live in Katy, TX. This morning was the 4th snowfall I have seen in the last 20 years here in the Greater Houston area.

So, yeah, snowfall is rare in Houston. But it was the first snowfall without the kids. Snowfall is no fun without the kids! I called them up in Phoenix this morning, and sure enough, they HATED missing the snow. But they also know the problems that snow causes in the city. I don’t have to show them to you. You probably have TikTok or Instagram and have seen the images.

As the world knows, the USA now has a new president. Remember, I said I don’t follow media channels. I get my information from the source. In this case, https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/. I wouldn’t follow the US media at all. For one, it’s not news. It’s the opinion of a handful of people at the news organization. There is one set of news organizations for one political party in the United States, and there are a handful of other news organizations for the other political party in the United States. Let them be. A college education has taught me to always go to the source of information – government websites and specific publications that state credible sources for the data to be presented in that article.

So, we begin a new administration. It’s the same guy as in 2017, just older. He has four years. It’s time for everyone to focus on (a) holding on to a job, (b) generate passive income, and (c) have a side-gig plan in the works if things don’t work out.

The kiddos are back in Phoenix. We are looking at Spring Break to “take a break.” It is well deserved because Vikram graduates in May. (woohoo!)
